No Peaches in 2019

By August 5, 2019Around the Farm
Bokes Creek Orchard is sorry to report there is no peach crop this year. This is due to the winter temperatures of 2019. The peach buds were frozen in subzero temperatures. Hopefully net year we will have a crop. The trees are not damaged, only the fruit buds. We grow early, mid-season, and late-season peaches in hopes some varieties will survive.
On a lighter side, the apples are looking great. The mid-August/early September apples are Gala and Honeycrisp, and will be our first varieties of the season to be ready.
We will be selling apples & cider at the Marysville Farm Market on Saturday mornings from 8:30 till 11:30. We offer sales at the orchard as well.
Just give us a call first: 937-597-3574
We have expanded the honey operation. Honey is slowing as we have been harvesting honey since mid-June for the spring, summer, and fall.
See us at the Marysville Market, the Richwood Farmers Market on Thursday afternoons, or give us a call.
